Recently, Shyam Metallics has again taken a special initiative to bolster its efforts in rural
development. This time the focus was on uplifting the medical facilities in the rural area, and
thus the Shyam Metallics team partnered with Help Age India to set up affordable and
convenient healthcare support. The mobile medical van was inaugurated at Jamuria to provide
healthcare and diagnostic services, especially for the people living in the villages around the
plant.

An overview of the initiative:

On May 31, 2022, Shyam Metalics Foundation, in association with Help Age India, launched a
Mobile Medical Van at Jamuria. The main objective of this initiative is to facilitate healthcare and
diagnostic services, especially for the people living in the villages around the plant.

The medical unit was inaugurated by Shri Bidhan Upadhyay (Mayor – Asansol Municipal
Corporation), Shri Hareram Singh (MLA Jamuria Constituency) and Shri Sumit Chakroborty
(Board of Directors). Many other important people from the gram panchayat, community leaders
and several other district officials blessed the initiative with their presence.

People in the area were extremely delighted by this initiative and appreciated our efforts for
ensuring better health and lifestyle for them.

In Conclusion:

In the past, many workers who had fallen ill with some disease have never been able to recover
the costs of treatment and many have lost their lives too, leaving families under a huge financial
burden. Looking into this severe situation, we attempted to do our bit in improving the medical
facility and ensuring the well-being of the people in this community. Everyone in the area was
overjoyed by this initiative and appreciated us for this mindful and life-saving effort!
