Corporate Social Responsibility
Shyam Metalics believes that a business house is much more than a profit center or an instrument of earning fortunes. Successful corporate are very important members of the society with immense responsibility for solving social, We believe that sustainable community development is essential for harmonious development of both the community and industry. We endeavour to make a positive contribution, particularly to underprivileged communities by supporting a range of socio-economic, educational and health initiatives, and adopting a need profile analysis and implementing sustainable social development projects.
In Fiscals 2018, 2019 and 2020, and the nine months ended December 31, 2020, we incurred ₹ 15.20 million, ₹ 37.77 million, ₹ 66.66 million and ₹ 26.40 million, respectively, towards CSR activities. Some of the key CSR initiatives undertaken by us are as follows:
• Promoting preventive health care preventive health care services;
• natural disaster relief;
• rural development through camps in the vicinity of our manufacturing plants; and
• Plantation and maintenance activities.

Benefits of the project
• Reduction in CO2 Emission – 12.5 Lacs Kg/Annually
• Reduction in Water Usage – 32 Lacs Litre/Annually
• Reduction in CO2 is equivalent to planting Number of Trees = 57,500 Nos of trees annually
Jamuria blood donation camp – Sep 2023

World Environment Day’2022
On account of World Environment Day, 2022, the Shyam Metalics Foundation (Jamuria and Mangalpur CSR Team) organised various activities such as drawing competition, poster making, skit, play and plantation activities from 28th May- 05th June’2022.
Football Tournament Academy
Shyam Metalics Foundation under its CSR Program promotes sports for the youth. Year 2021-22 was marked with great success and pride for the Football academy which participated in 9 District level tournaments and won the winner’s trophy.

An Initiative taken by Shyam Metalics & Energy Ltd. to help grow budding talents in Badminton along with Collaboration of the Sambalpur District Administration. Shyam Metalics & energy Ltd. was the primary partner in the event which had players participating from state levels.
Plantation
We at Shyam Metalics care for the environment & have held numerous plantation drives in & across the regions near to our manufacturing plants in Jamuria, Sambalpur & Mangalpur. We are also moving towards better sustainable alternatives to reduce our waste and help the plant achieve zero waste policy.
Medical Camp
We have Yearly Eye & Medical Camp for Villagers near our manufacturing plants & Shyam Metalics has been active in helping out in social causes as well.
